Clare Refugee week events

Members of our youth group will be performing at Cork Midsummer Festival on Saturday 15 June, 7pm to 9pm.
'Rising Voices'

Exploring power dynamics and unity through art.

Experience a profound journey through an innovative collective creation, delving deep into issues of power, discrimination, and the harsh realities of war.

Through a fusion of storytelling, singing, dancing, theatre, and spoken word poetry, our talented youth performers will guide you through a narrative that challenges perceptions and ignites conversations. Witness the unyielding honesty and artistic ingenuity as we confront pressing societal issues with creativity and hope.

This isn’t just a performance; it’s a movement. Be a part of the transformative experience as the voices of the next generation courageously tackle themes that resonate deeply in our world today.

Rising Voices audience will be invited to stay for a talk-back after the performance.

Facilitated by the Irish Refugee Council with Creativity and Change (MTU), and Kelvin Akpaloo. Funded by Creative Ireland and the Communities Integration Fund.
